VALORANT’s new Gekko bug lets you open TP doors from outside

If there is one agent who has made the game more enjoyable to play, it’s none other than Gekko. Recently, Skye had been nerfed to the ground, so she isn’t a very viable initiator pick anymore. With a void for a primary initiator, many teams have shifted to Gekko. However, players have now encountered an annoying Gekko bug in VALORANT which could even lead to him being disabled in the game.

The only way to open the teleporters’ doors is through the inside. With Gekko after the latest update, though, players can open the doors of a portal without jumping into it – a likely bug. If players aim their Dizzy on either the doors of the teleporter outside Hookah or even at the entry of showers, the door will open up. This doesn’t happen with Gekko’s Wingman or Trash when aimed at the door. This has been a bug that has been posted recently, and this could result in the agent being disabled, similar to Clove in the VCT Leagues.

Riot Games has not spoken publicly about this bug or its unique mechanic in the game. However, similar to Viper’s silent nerf and the Clove disable news, we believe that we might soon hear a statement from the developer.

Fans will be anxiously waiting for a statement from Riot on the bug as he is one of the most-played initiators.

Earlier, however, Skye was the primary initiator agent for most teams. This was due to her rechargeable flashes, which also provided the required information on the opponents. VALORANT recently nerfed her flashes and made them non-rechargeable. Due to this, teams have shifted to a team composition without Skye on most maps.

Their agent of choice is none other than Gekko. This is due to his Dizzy as well as his Wingman abilities. After use, both of these abilities can be picked up and reused after a 10-second cooldown. Due to this, players can use this information to gather flash multiple times. On the other hand, Wingmen can use apparent angles in various choke points and plant the spike. Thus, this provides a sixth man during the spike being planted.
